Edge Media traveled to Honduras to document the efforts of a South Carolina-based medical mission with facilities in several remote coastal villages. Their purpose is to render free medical, dental and optometric services to the poor and needy of the region. Our mission was to create a video that could tell two stories, one informative and one compelling. Edited from footage acquired during a weeklong shoot, one version of the video is used to prepare the next wave of volunteers – doctors, nurses and technicians – for the conditions they will soon experience. The other version is used to gain support from drug manufacturers and medical supply companies by letting them experience how vital their donations are.
